Valdez weather reports are notoriously innacurate. Any forecast further than three days out should not be considered reliable. There are a number of "microclimates" in the area, so weather in town can be different than in the Sound, which can be different than Thompson Pass. Be suspicious of weather reports that call for days or weeks on end of rain. That may mean it's going to be gray and sprinkly intermittently or may mean a steady rain. It's impossible to know unless you're here so simply plan accordingly. Bring layers and rain gear.
